DOHA: The 7th edition of the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition opened with glamour and style yesterday, featuring timeless timepieces and priceless jewellery exclusively showcased by 255 iconic brands from 16 countries.
The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani, accompanied by Ahmed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Qatar Tourism Authority, officially inaugurated the dazzling event at the Qatar International Exhibition Centre.
“I am delighted to present the largest edition of our annual Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition to date. We are proud to organise such a prestigious regional event in Doha, and we are honoured by the overwhelming turnout at today’s exhibition opening,” Al Nuaimi said at the inauguration.
The 15,000 square metre exhibition space is fully occupied by majestically constructed pavilions reflecting the sophistication of the leading jewellery stores taking part in the six-day international exhibition organised by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA).
The windows of the stalls glittered with jewellery studded with precious gemstones and metals which all seemed to vie for the visitors’ attention.
The prices of the accessories range from thousands to millions of riyals, depending on the brand, design and rarity of the product.
